Pricing guide · Nepal
How Much Does a Website Cost in Nepal?
The honest answer is that it depends on what the website has to do. A five-page business site and an online learning platform with payments are different jobs, and anyone quoting both from one price list is guessing. Here's what really moves the price, so you can judge any quote you get, mine included.
The six things that set the price
1. Pages and content
A five-page site and a fifty-page site are different amounts of work. Writing, photos and translations count too, whether I handle them or you do.
2. Design
A tidy design built on proven layouts costs less than a fully custom brand design with its own illustrations and animations.
3. Features
Logins, online payments, bookings, a dashboard or an admin panel turn a website into software. This is the biggest jump in price.
4. Editing it yourself
If you want to update text and products without calling a developer, the site needs a content system behind it. That takes extra work.
5. SEO and speed
Fast pages, clean structure and structured data take planning. Adding them during the build costs far less than repairing them afterwards.
6. Support after launch
Fixes, updates and security care are separate from the build. Decide up front whether you want them.
Three kinds of project, and what changes their price
A business website
A handful of pages that present your services, build trust and bring in enquiries. The price moves with page count, custom design, and whether you need a blog or a way to edit content yourself.
A web app or platform
Software people log into: courses, bookings, dashboards, marketplaces, payments. I've built full platforms like Padhum, a learning platform with courses, payments, mock tests and live classes. The price moves with the number of user types, the payment flow and the admin tools you need.
A mobile app
An iOS and Android app from one Flutter codebase, usually with a backend. The price moves with the screens, the backend, push notifications and how many store releases you need.
Costs people forget to budget for
- Domain name: renewed every year
- Hosting: monthly or yearly, depending on the size of the site
- Payment gateway fees: a percentage per transaction, whether you use a local gateway like eSewa or Khalti, or an international one like Stripe
- Business email, paid tools and any stock photos or fonts
- Updates, backups and security: either you pay for support, or you take on the job yourself
Can I just use a free website builder?
Yes, and sometimes you should. If you need a simple page to test an idea, a free builder is a reasonable start.
The limits show up later: you can't fully control speed or SEO, the site often carries the builder's branding or a subdomain, and moving away is painful. If customers finding you on Google matters to your business, a proper site pays for itself sooner than most people expect.
How to compare quotes fairly
- Is the price for the whole project, and what exactly is included?
- Is SEO setup included, or sold separately?
- Will the site work properly on phones, and is it fast?
- Who owns the domain, hosting and code at the end?
- How many rounds of changes are included?
- Who fixes things when something breaks, and for how long?
How I quote
I don't work from a price list, because that would either overcharge a small project or underprice a big one. We talk about what you need, I write down the scope, the price and the dates, and you decide with everything in front of you. You only pay for what your project needs.

Questions people ask
How much does it cost to develop a website in Nepal?
There isn't one honest number. A simple business site, a platform with payments and an admin panel, and a mobile app sit at very different points, and the scope sets where. The quickest route to a real figure is to describe what you need. I'll reply with a written quote.
Why do website quotes vary so much?
Because the work behind them varies. Some quotes cover only a template with your logo on it, while others include custom design, SEO, speed work, security and support. Compare what's included, not just the total.
Is a cheaper website worse?
Not always, but check what's missing. The usual gaps in low quotes are mobile design, page speed, SEO setup, security, handover and support after launch.
Do I have to pay every year?
Your domain and hosting renew yearly, or monthly for some hosts. Ongoing maintenance and support are optional, and we can decide on them together.
Can I edit the website myself later?
Yes, if we plan for it. Tell me up front which parts you want to update on your own, such as text, photos, products or blog posts, and I'll build the site so you can.
